The Intolerant Plead for Tolerance

A common definition of ignorance is a lack of knowledge or sophistication. While the dictionary defines stupidity as a slow mind, or given to unintelligent decisions or acts, I prefer the definition associated with the act, as in the act of ignorance.

The elections of 2008 clearly demonstrated the stupidity of a very large segment of the American public. This would include the 52% that voted for Obama and the supporters that did not vote. Initially, I believed the stupidity was a personal opinion based on conversations with liberal associates and respondents on this blog. As time wore on it became apparent that the critical thinking deficiencies among liberals was staggering. The stupidity demonstrated by liberals who called talk radio programs, or interviewed in the “man on the street” segments with the Sean Hannity program, or interviewed by TV media, was overwhelming. Don’t Drill, Inflate: Obama Leads a Fools Parade

“You’d have to be an intellectual to believe something like that. No one else would be such a fool!” George Orwell

The circus created by the liberal carnival barker has illustrated Liberalism is a severely flawed ideology. Obama and his loyal minions have shown how Liberals become unhinged when their pursuit of power or grip on government is challenged. They morph into moral pretzels, make ignorant assertions or avoid the point trying to defend their Marxist ideals. Think not?

Notice the illogical meandering when liberals try to defend, justify or rationalize the policies of FDR, the calamities of the imbecilic Carter, the immorality and corruption of the Clinton’s or the foolishness of Obama. They ignore that fact that FDR implemented Marxist economics that escalated a recession to the decade long “Great Depression”; and during the 1970’s Carter’s answer to the energy and economic crisis was to wear sweaters and tax oil companies, requiring a new economic measurement, the misery index. Sanctuary Cities: Are Heart Bleeding Liberals Going to Learn?

Sanctuaries for illegal immigrants were created in the seventies by priests who sheltered South American aliens running away from civil wars or dictatorships.

Churches were turned into “sanctuaries” and their occupants protected from the police, immigration enforcement and American laws.Later whole cities became sanctuaries and started to break the state and federal laws they are supposed to enforce.

San Francisco has been one of them since 1989 and its extreme liberal drunk play-boy turned mayor has just been forced to put an end to the madness after the city fell under the media radars for its crazyness. [Read more…]

California is on Fire Thanks to the Tree Huggers

We just got a health warning because of the smoke from 1200 wildfires, and the State Air Resources Board voices its goal of slashing emissions by 30 percents by 2020. The scheme is based on increasing utility bills and on blackmailing businesses. Often, in the morning, when my kids fight over the newspaper’s weather page, I tell them to look outside. Look at that smoke!

Every year, wild fires destroy millions of oxygen generating trees because some believe in the unconditional protection of the forests. As a result, sanctuaries are not regularly cleaned; fuel packs up below the trees, waiting for the right spark that will turn everything to ashes before the erosion of the charred sterile soil begins. It is not nuclear science: trees transform carbon in oxygen while fires generate smoke and carbon; eventually, rotting dead trees will also release carbon.

The board should focus on fire prevention and forest maintenance and protection. Human activities and fuel fossil burning have historically been presented as the main responsible for the Green house effect that causes Global warming. Last year, the fires in San Diego released in one week 25% of the CO2 that the whole of California releases in one month. In 2002, 7 million acres of forest burnt to the ground and in 1997, the Indonesian fires were credited for the tens of thousands of tons of CO2 that made that particular year the worst ever in co2 emission.

While we point fingers at fossil fuel for Global Warming, we conveniently avoid talking about these wildfires that have become more destructive than ever in human history because of the laws put in place to protect our forests: no logging, no cleaning, no access at all in sanctuaries, fuel amassing on the ground. These restrictions have caused more damages ever and for the first time in century, fire resistant forest have burn to the ground, literally gone in smoke.

It is easy to remember, and so logical:

  • Burning forest in America release about 10 tons km-2 of CO2 annually.
  • Burnt trees stop processing carbon.
  • Dead biomass (dead trees and plants) rot and release more CO2
  • The whole cycle releases as much CO2 – if not more – as fossil fuel burning.
  • Extra C02 increases the Green House effect.
  • Increase of the Green House effect increases the dryness of our forest.
  • Extra dry forest – what ever is left – burn just looking at it.
  • CO2 emissions from wildfires are predicted to increase by 50% by the year 2050

Are You Thinking?

In 2001, from her mansion, Barbara Streisand told us to save energy and dry laundry outdoor. Today, the rich and the famous hypocritical figures of the country, tell us that they won’t even re-consider off-shore drilling. Sure, Arnold, Gore, Pelosi and other Julia Roberts can afford fuel for their own jets and fuel price or global warming do not apply to them.

How dare we, the people, the stupid commoners, push for the off-shore drilling of our untapped resources to lower our pain? That would most likely ruin the picture perfect ocean sceneries they enjoy from the bay windows of their multi thousand square acres exclusive properties on the beach. The Californian coastline is either preserved and protected, or owned by millionaires. The latter will soon make the headlines against off-shore drilling in the name of environmental concerns! It is plain disgusting!

Tell you what, 9 June 2008 the Crude Oil was $3.20 and retail $4.43. Distribution, marketing, refinery, cost of operation and profit was 53 cts/gal for the Oil companies. State storage tank fee, state and local sales tax, state excise tax and federal excise tax totaled $0.70/gal. Who is really making and wasting the big bucks? Think!

Questions

Most of the country, polled over and over again, does not agree with the direction it is taking nor approve with the Bush administration and the Democrat led congress.

What is your take on this? Do you think it is really true? What is a “wrong direction” and what is an approval? What would be a good direction?

Not Change – Obama Promises Billions in New Taxes

During B. Hussein Obama’s appearance on “Meet the Press”, Sunday, May 4th, he talked about how rich nations are hording and not releasing food to poorer nations, which are causing riots. Isn’t it just like a dishonest liberal denying the true cause for food shortage the liberal ethanol gas fiasco! Obama plans to soak the American taxpayer and make them to pay for global feel-good liberal garbage.

Not just a campaign promise. Obama sponsored Senate Bill 2433, the Global Poverty Act of 2007. It “requires the President to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the U.S. foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and – reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.” This would impose a global tax on the American taxpayer of an additional .7% of GDP spent on foreign aid, above what is already spent. California Panel to Put Southeast Asian War in Textbooks

I respect Hmong veterans for their long struggle at the side of the French, and the Americans afterwards, in what used to be Indochina. We know about their plight in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. But should we dedicate them a special chapter in our school curriculum?

I went through my son’s fourth grader “Social study” book on opening day at school and asked the teacher if it was coming with a whip and if there was anything there that he should be proud – Chinese building railroads, de-possessed Mexican immigrants, Japanese camps, and the native we slaughtered. Today we are going to add the Hmongs to the curriculum and the tale of our abandoning them to the Vietnamese and Laotian revenge. Furthermore, the Gay-transgender-whatever community is also trying to add their contribution to the history of that crazy state.

Questions: Should the books cover the history of all the minorities that make the framework of America? Should our schools be responsible for the transmitting of cultures and traditions from one silent generation to a passive one? What is next? The Italian contribution to the American Pizza, the Middle Eastern love story with 7-11, the French improvement to American wines and kisses? The casino success story of the Cache Creek, Thunder valley and other Jackson Rancheria foreign nations?

Halloween is Coming!

In a couple of day, Darkness worshippers are going to unleash again the wave of scary tiny giggling combatants of their Armies of darkness. Witches and ghosts, ghouls and skeletons, zombies and other genetic freaks are going to take over our streets, Boo our driveways, ring our bells and demand calorie-high sweet treats or else!

In a couple of days, most of suburbia will look like the cardboard stage of an old Bela Lugosi Dracula movie, with haunted houses, schools of Goblins, ghost train rides, wooden tombstones, purple or orange lights, rubber bats hanging from trees, spider webs all over, and freaky sound tracks playing loud. In a couple of days, adult and children are going to dress up in their creative home-made or fashionable expensive costumes and celebrate again what has started as a Celtic pagan celebration of the dead and has allegedly become one of our most profitable holiday (after Christmas, Mother”s Day, Valentines Day, Easter, and Father”s Day ). Bush Caused It

“The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant: It’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” Thomas Sowell

Liberal hatred for President George Bush is inconceivable to a reasonable person. But to left wingers the hatred is justified because Bush stole the 2000 election and deprived them of their entitled coronation of Al Gore. Of course a reasonably educated individual who is clear on the concept of civics and history knows that this claim is not only false but ridiculous. What outrages liberals more than Bush winning the election is that he won despite of their cheating with an estimated five hundred thousand to million fraudulent votes, all their civil suits and the illegal interference by the Florida Supreme Court. In spite of all their fraud he still won, that galls them. [Read more…]
