The Attack on Rumsfeld: Political or Justified?

A small group of senior military officers went public, calling for Donald Rumsfeld’s resignation. They accuse him of arrogance and mismanagement of the war. Some call him intimidating. Others accuse him of being disrespectful to military officers. This is not the first time that Rumsfeld has weathered the ‘resignation storm’. After the prisoner abuse scandal at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, many, including politicians (mostly democrats), called for his resignation. President Bush stood by his man then as he is doing now.

The problem I am having with this current situation is the manner in which the officers are going about their criticisms. They are all general officers, who have an extraordinary amount of influence on the troops who are fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries around the world. They are making statements in the newspapers and on the TV networks that are being interpreted and analyzed by the enemies of America. The same generals had many opportunities to voice their opinions to the Defense Secretary but did not do so when they had the chance. The same generals would not have found it to be so funny if their troops started making statements in the press about how worthless some of them are. [Read more…]

Who Is Committed to Victory?

It seems repetitive but the topic of the absolute lunacy demonstrated by liberals keeps resurfacing. They do not realize that we are involved in a fight for our very survival and must be victorious to ensure a quality life for posterity. One has to wonder in what fantasy world these mental midgets live.

A pragmatic analysis would lead anyone with the ability for critical thought to conclude we need to support a strategy for victory, not defeat. Consider the defeat we suffered in the Vietnam experience.

After the war Ho Chi Min admitted they were defeated in the 1968 Tet Offensive but did not surrender due to the anti-war movement in the U.S. and the protests were a major source of moral support. On 08/03/95 former NVA Col. Bui Tin told the Wall Street Journal the American peace movement was essential to their victory and visits to Hanoi by people like Jane Fonda and Ramsey Clark gave them confidence that they should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses.

Now compare these historical events with the present day War on Terrorism. [Read more…]

Afghanistan, Massoud: A Missed Opportunity?

September 9 2001, Commander Ahmad Sha Massoud, the Lion of Panjshir, the Charismatic leader of the Northern Alliance that was fighting the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, was assassinated by two suicide bombers posing as journalists and commandeered by both the Talibans and Bin Laden. Two days later, the two towers of World Trade Center were collapsing in the streets of New York. Two months later, a US backed Afghan Northern Alliance was routing the Talibans and taking Kabul.

Who was Massoud, why was he killed? [Read more…]

How Safe Do You Really Feel?

21 Major US airports have failed a security test and let bomb materials through. Of course, Homeland Security officials are surprised and TSA claims some kind of unfinished training while stating that security is the prime objective of the company. Should you be worried, so long and so much money after 9-11?

The fact of the matter is that the bomb material that was sneaked in had nothing to do with what the available screening technologies look for, that is to say traditional traces of traditional explosive. With a good insider knowledge of what goes on in the airport as far as screening goes, the teams in charge of testing the security smuggled common household products that only become explosive when combined together. So, TSA failed, by lack of equipment, and security was breached, allowing through material capable of taking an airplane down in each of the 21 tested airport. Did the Feds cheat? [Read more…]

The Alternative Liberal Universe; Iraq is Failing

It does not surprise me when liberals respond to ideological challenges with simple name calling or combine a few liberal talking points to make a phrase or sentence complete with misspelled words and void of facts. So I offer another challenge to liberals to defend pathetic liberal comments.

After President Bush’s radio broadcast Saturday morning liberal democrats trotted out Senator Diane Feinstein and in true liberal form put Iraq on notice to get their house in order. The lofty, narcissistic liberal senator advised the people of America and Iraq that three years is much too long for this war to have lasted, that we are frustrated with the lack of improvement in Iraqi political process and they must quickly provide for equal representation for the Sunni, Kurds and Shiites and blah, blah, blah. The Date Rape

A disturbing trend is on the increase. I was shocked at the high incidents of this form of criminality, if it indeed happened. It is the date rape. There is no single form of date rape. Some rapes occur on first dates; others after a relationship has been developed; still others after the couple has been involved for some time. In long-term or close relationships, the male partner may feel he has invested so much time and money in his partner that he is owed sexual favors or that sexual intimacy is an expression that the involvement is progressing.

He may make comparisons to other couples who have dated as long and are sexually active. Males who use force in their dating relationships are more likely to be angry, jealous, and stressed, have poor communication skills, act irrationally, use alcohol, and report more efforts to control their partners than those men who never use force in dating relationships. Liberals Provide Comic Relief; Not Leadership

obama-transformerTo those with knowledge of history prior to this moment and have the ability to view events with critical thought, find liberals only provide comic relief. Liberal’s narcissistic beliefs and moral superiority causes them to make fools of themselves day in and day out. It would be funnier if it weren’t so scary. Think about it, these people could regain power. Adolf Hitler, the essence of evil, once said, “What good fortune for the government that the people do not think.”

Presidential hopeful, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton acclaimed by liberals to be the smartest woman in the world, hopes Hitler’s comment is relevant to the American electorate. Hills’, as doting fans call her, has taken the liberal media lead to attempt to politicize the trivial Cheney accidental shooting as a major event. Clinton, ignoring her history, trots out into the public forum to attack Cheney and Bush’s management of the event, like she has room to talk. [Read more…]

Port Security: Are We Selling Out Ourselves To The Devil?

Surveillance Camera is watching operation in the port.

Surveillance Camera is watching operation in the port.

In one scenario laid out by The VonFrederick Group, terrorists could hide an atomic weapon inside a cargo container, load it on a pirated freighter, dock it at a pier in San Francisco, and detonate the weapon before anything could be done to prevent it. Such an explosion would instantly kill every living thing for miles and utterly destroy the entire city and surrounding areas. Nearly every building would be demolished. As for people, San Francisco has an estimated population of over 740,000- the death rate would be expected to be at or near 100%. Deaths attributed to the effects of radiation poisoning as well as those who would perish in the resulting structure and wild fires outside the blast’s immediate reach could number in the thousands. Should something like this occur, September 11th would seem insignificant in comparison.

The preceding scenario came to mind when I read an article in the February 17th, 2006 edition of The New York Times about the control of the ports in New York. According to the article, “P&O Ports operates the New York City Passenger Ship Terminal and owns a 50 percent interest in the Port Newark Container Terminal, which is the third-largest cargo terminal on the Port Authority’s property.” This British company, Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O) also runs ports in New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia.  Our government has approved the purchase of P&O by Dubai Ports World (DP World). DP World is owned by the government of Dubai which is part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Additionally, David Sanborn, a senior executive of DP World, has been nominated to head the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration. [Read more…]

Homegrown Terrorists: How Concerned Are You?

homegrown-terroristOf the four suicide bombers who struck London’s transit system on July 7, 2005, one was a Jamaican-born British citizen and three were of Pakistani descent but born and raised in Britain. One of them, Mohammad Sidique Khan, had recorded a chilling video message of more terror to come, which was aired on Al Jazeera in September 2005. London’s Guardian found the message “disturbing not only because of its contents but also because of who was delivering it. We have become used to such grim messages delivered in Arabic. This was spoken in English, in a calm native Yorkshire accent, aimed specifically at British Muslims.” More than likely Continental Europe, as well as Britain, has homegrown suicide bombers among its second-generation Muslims. British intelligence has found, that Islamist preachers in Britain have radicalized most of these terrorists.

Prime Minister Tony Blair announced new legislations giving the government powers to take preventative action, including expelling preachers of “ate. These actions will help but will not eliminate the problem. In the 1960s Singapore had, by statute, set up the Islamic Religious Council. The council controls all sermons in mosques and teachings in madrassas (bet you wish you could do that here in the U.S.). Yet in December 2001, Singapore and Malaysia arrested the first group of 30 homegrown Jemaah Islamiah (JI) members as they were planning to detonate seven truck bombs at American, British, Australian and Israeli targets in Singapore. Singapore arrested a second group of 21 Islamic militants in August 2002. [Read more…]

Muslim Outrage: Is The Violence Justified?

muslim-violenceI found it ironic that in a show of open-mindness, the Arab-catering Western governments sided with the thin-skinned Muslims over the caricature of Muhammad, when other gods are ridiculed every day and when Arabs want to annihilate Judaism!

A few Muslims in Europe are abusing the Democratic freedom and “hijacking” the freedom of speech they found, to violently condemn a speech they consider offensive, in another case of freedom of speech against law and order, and civil opposition. Just remember France and the headscarves!

What have happened to the many Muslims that have chosen to leave their dictatorships of Islam for the shores of our jobless Western Europe or America, and the generous benefits we provide their extended families? Now they want to shape the policies of these secular countries into a more Islamic-compatible system and want us to bear the whole weight of their integration. [Read more…]
