How Far Should We Go to Accomodate?

I have already complained enough about the abuses of the first amendment and how free speech protects pan-handling, soliciting work on a sidewalk, flag and cross burning, yacking away in a cell phone.

Another thing that literally enrages me is the American Disability Act and the abuses it has generated. It drives me crazy when I see cars loaded with obese people sporting the handicapped sticker so they can park right at the entrance of their favorite junk food place. It drives me nuts when I read about these made up official “illnesses” such as the grooming disorder that protects the psychos and even allow lawsuits and money on top of special working arrangements and preferential treatments. Sure the ADA must have benefited real disabled persons, but its language is so vague that ambulance chasers allied with “disabled” con artists have made fortunes filing up lawsuits left and right and cashing settlements. Allegations!

“Represented as existing or as being as described but not so proved; supposed.”

This is Represented as existing or as being as described but not so proved; supposed; one of the definitions of a word that is taking more and more importance in the legal and media vocabulary, a word that is often being misused in order to protect the “rights” of the criminals, and, a rather new phenomenon, a word used to smear “out of the blue” and forever a person that has not been proven guilty yet.

The word is alleged!

It used to be in the books that any accused person was innocent until proven guilty! [Read more…]

Don’t Confuse Hatred With No Respect

I have given some thought to liberal responses in various blog articles and letter to the newsletter editor. Their consistent accusations suggest a hatred for liberals, which could not be more wrong. Just because an admitted conservative questions liberal beliefs or the tenants of the liberal religion, they are not espousing hatred. I believe I speak for most conservatives when I offer this message to liberals. Don’t confuse hatred with a complete lack of respect. It’s the behavior, Stupid!

Think not? Approach this theory with analysis of behavior and some critical thinking. Liberals continuously demonstrate a hatred for President Bush, because he overcame democratic voting fraud and beat the dunce Al Gore and pathetically dishonest John Kerry. Liberals exhibit a consistent hatred of American society, corporate America, our military, our Constitution, when it opposes liberalism; a passionate hatred for God, Christianity, and the Ten Commandments or just about anything that is contrary to the teachings of the great liberal god, Karl Marx or violates his Communist Manifesto.

Liberals demonstrate a narcissistic arrogance that is obvious to all but them. They promote the worst of the species as political leaders then chastise those who don’t recognize their greatness. There is no hatred for their icons, only disrespect and disgust. [Read more…]

When Will It Happen To Us Again?

Canadian police foiled a homegrown terrorist attack by arresting 17 suspects, apparently inspired by al-Qaida, who obtained three times the amount of an explosive ingredient used in the Oklahoma City bombing. The FBI said the Canadian suspects may have had “limited contact” with two men recently arrested on terrorism charges in Georgia. About 400 regional police and federal agents participated in the arrests Friday and early Saturday.

“These individuals were allegedly intent on committing acts of terrorism against their own country and their own people,” Prime Minister Stephen Harper said in a statement. “As we have said on many occasions, Canada is not immune to the threat of terrorism.”

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police arrested 12 adult suspects, ages 43 to 19, and five suspects younger than 18 on terrorism charges including plotting attacks with explosives on Canadian targets. A major problem is, all the suspects were either citizens or residents of Canada, educated and working in that country. Their families also live there. Some of the would-be terrorists were radicalized in Mosques. [Read more…]

The Selling of Human Body Parts: How Frightened Are You?

Let us take a break from our Southern borders and our shameless politicians for some introspection, a deeper look to our insides! Literally!

Organ trafficking is a pretty lucrative international market and recently, a mortuary home around Los Angeles had been exposed for “parting out” bodies they were paid to respectfully bury or cremate and selling the removed organs to medical related facilities or individuals. Everything went from kidneys to skull, lungs to limbs.

If in America, legal and ethical barriers have been set, internationally, from China to South America and Africa, harvesting organs from dead and live patients can even be state sponsored. China harvests its incarcerated population (while in the US, inmates and lifers, get access to organ transplants and compete for them with the honest population!) and many countries have laws that actually make it legal for a live person to sell, or buy, organs. Not in my backyard, you are all screaming! Well, actually, in America, even if it is not really legal, we already had some instances of good “matches” being offered loads of cash for selling non-vital parts of their bodies! [Read more…]

Illegal Immigration: Simple Remedies

The daily news and our blogs illustrate illegal immigration continues to be an issue politicized by politicians and the old media and the topic of endless discussion across the country. Yet, there is a total disconnect between 80% of Americans and these politicians, belt way pundits and old media. These folks have managed to “pigeon-hole” the debate on this topic to encompass invalid issues of the need for workers, the need for new laws and deportation of 12 million illegal aliens. Politicians, pundits and most everyone completely ignore real causes and real solutions.

There have always been illegal aliens sneaking across our border. However, illegal aliens of old were small in number and did not immediately join the entitlement culture. History has proven that twisting policy and laws like a pretzel to accommodate “guest workers” or illegal aliens has failed miserably and created more problems. [Read more…]

America Spineless on Immigration?

Let me first begin by saying that I am not an American, have never been to America (although it is my dream), and perhaps should not be involved in this discussion. I also know that very recently, your blog had some interesting notes regarding the immigration issue. But as I peer through my lens from my lofty university chair, I could not help but write a small note expressing my opinion on what I see will destroy your country sooner or later.

On Monday, President George W. Bush announced that in an effort to address illegal immigration into the United States he has proposed deploying thousands of National Guard troops along the Mexican border while initiating a guest worker program and a path toward legalization for some undocumented workers already in your country. The White House’s plan has pit the Bush administration against Mexico and has also become divisive amongst the politicians, where activists on both extremes criticize its attempt to chart a middle course. Cannot these people take a stand on any issue? [Read more…]

Apathy Towards Genocide?

This week, we received numerous suggested articles for the week’s blog feature. Most were very well written, provocative, timely and informative. Nonetheless, I have decided that another area of global importance has been neglected for too long and only recently, has made some head-way into the headlines. It is GENOCIDE. It is happening. It is real. It is in Sudan. As a scholar of genocide, and having visited Sudan, I felt compelled to address this issue.

Two years ago, the African people, tired of the government’s brutality and yearning for freedom, revolted against Sudan’s Islamic government. The Islamic government saw this as an opportunity to systematically and methodically wipe out the Africans in Darfur and take their land for the Arabic Sudanese. The following are eyewitness statements of the horror that is taking place in front of our eyes: [Read more…]

Only in America

On Monday, millions of illegal aliens and their supporters marched across America, demanding that they be afforded the right to live in the United States. They also demanded all of the rights that have been afforded to me and my family; rights such as education, medical, voting, government jobs, to name a few. Some even threatened that when they over-take America, all Gringos will be in trouble. They said that they have the right to be here just as my family has the right to be here even though they came here illegally. They have become sophisticated enough to wave the American flag instead of the Mexican flag or flag of their respective countries.

Now, I have no problems with people immigrating to this country and work towards a better life. I have no problem with people immigrating here legally. I also have no problem with people receiving an education, medical attention, jobs, housing, etc. I support people escaping oppressive governments, dictatorial governments, state sponsored terrorist governments, and genocidal governments. Sexual Predators and Your Children: How Safe Are They?

The well known Megan”s Law had been named several years ago after Megan Kanka, a New Jersey seven-year-old girl was raped and killed. The culprit was a convicted child molester who had discreetly settled in the family’s neighborhood. The parents of the martyred child started a movement to have local communities warned when known sex offenders were relocating to their areas and eventually, Megan’s law was born. Anybody can now go to an official website and check by zip code or address if any of such a potential predator is your gentle neighbor. In California, the website is http://www.meganslaw.ca.gov

We are all happy, I am sure, to have such a tool and a quick search of my own town showed “only” 18 offenders, none “high risk” and none in my direct neighborhood, thank you.

So, let us take a look to the John Doe family now! Today, John is glued  to the computer monitor, speechless because he has just discovered that a high risk sexual offender lives next door, a living example that the legal and law enforcement institutions have given up their responsibility to protect his children (the risk rating goes all the way to Serious and High Risk!). What happened to the old principle that a convict is only released when he has paid its debt to society and is not a threat anymore? What does John do with the information? Do you think he is happy?
