Eye on Idaho, A half-hour program featuring subjects and people involved in the issues and activities of importance to Channel 2 viewers. Produced and Hosted by television veteran Walt Baker the program has covered topics ranging from Heroin Addiction to Nuclear Waste.

Feature material includes the "Beef Box", "As I See It", "FYI", and "Salute to Good Service". Controversy is often the order of the day with both sides of the issue represented, providing the viewer with the information needed to decide their position.

Project Patch, Air Date - April 3, 2005

At age 16 she struggled with depression, suicide attempts, cutting, and drug experimentation. Now she is a bubbly fun loving young woman who has become the mentor of other at-risk girls.Today our “Eye” is on a program that helps at-risk kids realize their self worth and potential. It’s called Project Patch. Our guests are two young women whose lives have been turned around by Project Patch. During her teen years our first guest was completely out of control. After time in Project Patch she went on to become a highly successful fashion model.Today she is a member of the Project Patch Development Team, Ms Jennifer Matoske.With Ms Matoske, the young lady mentioned in the beginning,Ms Abbie Payne. Questions asked will include the source of funding and how a troubled teen qualifies to become part of the program.

IRAQ..BEHIND THE HEADLINES, Air Date - APRIL 10TH, 2005

You walked all night for miles and miles through a dangerous city. While you were walking you couldn’t help but think of the fanatics who threatened to kill you if you ignored their demands. But you kept walking, because that day was going to be the first day you have ever been allowed the freedom to vote for the people you want to run your country. Today our “Eye” is on Iraq, the elections and the progress being made that we don’t always hear about from the Main-stream media. Reporting to us, a man you’ve met on our program before who travels to Iraq almost every month and who was there prior to and during the elections, Mister Lionel Rawlins.

DROUGHT, Air Date - APRIL 17TH, 2005

A long time ago there was a famous comedian by the name of W.C. Fields. He was especially noted for his habit of excessive drinking and was once quoted as having said “You can’t trust water, even a straight stick turns crooked in it. If he were alive today he might change that to “You can’t trust water because you never know if its going to be there when you need it”. Today our “Eye” is on the current and critical water shortage facing Idaho. Our guest is a man who supervises the irrigation districts system that delivers water to more than 248 Treasure Valley residential subdivisions representing over 11,000 parcels of land. He is the Water Superintendent for the Nampa and Meridian Irrigation District, Mister John Anderson.Subjects discussed will include ways we can all contribute to the conservation of water as well as what the shortage means to each of us.
