You walked all night for
miles and miles through a dangerous city. While you were walking you
couldn’t help but think of the fanatics who threatened to kill
you if you ignored their demands. But you kept walking, because that
day was going to be the first day you have ever been allowed the
freedom to vote for the people you want to run your country. Today
our “Eye” is on Iraq, the elections and the progress
being made that we don’t always hear about from the Main-stream
media. Reporting to us, a man you’ve met on our program before
who travels to Iraq almost every month and who was there prior to and
during the elections, Mister Lionel Rawlins.

A long time ago there was a
famous comedian by the name of W.C. Fields. He was especially noted
for his habit of excessive drinking and was once quoted as having
said “You can’t trust water, even a straight stick turns
crooked in it. If he were alive today he might change that to
“You can’t trust water because you never know if its going to be there when you need it”.
Today our “Eye” is on the current and critical water
shortage facing Idaho. Our guest is a man who supervises the
irrigation districts system that delivers water to more than 248
Treasure Valley residential subdivisions representing over 11,000
parcels of land. He is the Water Superintendent for the Nampa and Meridian
Irrigation District, Mister John Anderson.Subjects
discussed will include ways we can all contribute to the conservation
of water as well as what the shortage means to each of us.
